The Story of UFC 205: Relive the behind-the-scenes action from an historic week in New York

Looking back on an historic week at Madison Square Garden as the UFC’s octagon landed in The Big Apple for the very first time… and a certain Irishman stole the show.

UFC 205 was the biggest event in UFC history, and boy did it deliver!

We were treated to some great fights in an iconic venue in one of the world’s great cities. It was a huge privilege to have a front-row seat to cover it.

But before the drama of fight night itself, we had the usual fun and games of fight week.

With the open workouts, media day, pre-fight press conference and the spectacle that was the ceremonial weigh-ins, there was drama at every turn.

From Conor McGregor’s jump shot at the open workouts to his chair-wielding at the press conference, fight week had it all.

I recorded as much of it as I could using my cameras and my iPhone, and the video blog below is my mash-up of the best bits I captured throughout the week.

Hopefully it’ll give you a little taster of what it was like to be there in the thick of it during the biggest event in UFC history.
